Yup, you read it right. Three sets of photographers. The last time we shot a wedding with other photographers was back in 2009. We’ve had an exclusivity clause in our contract since then. It’s easier to move around and take the kind of photos we do when there’s more space / less people, basically. By some twist of fate though, we ended up taking this wedding and working with Oly’s team and Dino Lara. Pretty freaking cool.
We’ve missed shooting as the second team. It’s usually more difficult in the sense that the second team can’t really direct poses, which means there’s less creative control, but if you luck out like we did and get an awesome couple and a good, gracious main team, you still get just enough space to do your thing. It was a pleasure working with everyone.
Patrick and Michell, thanks for the wonderful experience of being with you that day. Michell, I got so gigil shooting you in your gorgeous Cecilio Abad dress. You’re an absolute natural in front of the camera and I particularly loved shooting your bridal preps. Patrick, your speech at the reception where you thanked your wedding suppliers and said, “You’re not just doing your jobs. This is a lifetime of memories for us.” meant a great deal to all of us. Thank you. Your wedding was inspiring. Hope you’re having the time of your lives in Europe!
