This was our first time at Kawazu, this sleepy little town where the cherry blossoms come early and time stands still. Sakura is fleeting and can turn full bloom and fall off in a matter of days. Here, it lingers for weeks. Cherry trees line the river, and if you let it lead you, you’ll find yourself where the river meets the sea.
This is one of those afternoons when I am reminded exactly how heartbreakingly beautiful the world is, and how madly in love I am with life.
