It remains one of our favorite things, being able to see our couples grow from engagement to wedding to married bliss, and becoming little families of their own. Over IG and FB, we get to share in this joy over these precious first weeks and months of finding their footing as a new family of three, four, five.
And then we get to meet these babies, and we fall in love. Beyond the adorable squishiness and that sweetest baby smell, in my mind, it’s like, ‘Hi, little one, I know you. I know the love that brought you here.’ We get to see these tiny humans and know that when they’re grown, they’ll go through their parents’ wedding photos and feel it, too, what we felt that day.
We shot Raffy and Nicole’s engagement session and wedding back in 2016. When we announced an open slot for our Tokyo Spring schedule, Raffy got in touch and I literally squealed with excitement. We love these guys, and I have been dying to meet Anna. It was all I could do not to overwhelm her with affection, which is probably why she preferred Jeff over me, who was way more calm, as always. Although he was definitely enamored with her, this brave little warrior who takes such pure delight in flying.
There are many weddings, engagement shoots, and family sessions I want to blog that have piled up from wedding season and haven’t had the time to share here. Will try to catch up on those in the coming weeks, and share more on Instagram @jeffandlisaphotography. Sharing this one right now as we wrap it up for delivery.
