Jeff and I had a fantastic time running around Tokyo with Mon and Ruby. The mood was chill and the conversation easy, and with the autumn leaves as background, we could do no wrong. By the end of it, I literally could not stop smiling. I remember trying to push my cheeks back in but there was seriously no helping myself. Hahaha.

We’ve been shooting in Japan nearly every spring and autumn these past 3 years. It’s a staggeringly beautiful country. We love both seasons equally, but for very different reasons. Spring is soft, cheery, and hopeful. Autumn is earthy and visceral ― this quiet fire that builds up, a deep, slow burn. Each one breathtaking every single time.
