“I took the stars from our eyes, and then I made a map, and knew that somehow I could find my way back.”
– Cosmic Love, Florence + The Machine
Flying out in a few hours for an engagement shoot and a wedding in Bacolod. Currently making a playlist for the trip. I love doing this, and remember our trips partly by the music we played at the time. I took the photo above a couple of months ago, at Changi Airport in Singapore, on our way to Bali. To say music is a big influence on us would be a huge understatement. I figure since I’m blogging more often these days, I’ll publish my favorite playlists every now and then here, too. Just not now because it’s not done yet, and we’re leaving soon and I’ve yet to pack.
Jeff’s done already. He always finishes packing first. His clothes are a bit clumsily folded, but done and organized in our shared luggage with the best of intentions. Sometimes he reminds me of a little boy this way, it’s quite adorable. I fold my clothes deliberately, yet tend to throw in way more things than I could possibly need. But it works. Because I always refold his clothes, as I feel the need to look after him and make sure his clothes aren’t creased when he leaves the door. And he takes out the things I could do without, the things I hold on to needlessly, so we can close the luggage without breaking it. It’s a strange and amusing process, and we do this every single time, but I love how it works. I love how we work. I don’t ever want to forget that.
