Preps and Reception: Chilline, Tagaytay
Ceremony: Transfiguration Chapel, Caleruega
We met Angel and Kay back in 2008, when we were still so painfully new our business cards were made of a macro shot of our own wedding rings. Whattup. Seriously. Part of me cringes at how awkward we were when we started, but mostly I’m just so proud that we’ve come this far and are doing well beyond our wildest expectations, 1 year and 8 months after our first wedding coverage. Kay is incredibly soft spoken and gentle, and she made such a radiant bride. She also made me inadvertently realize how fiercely protective I am of my brides on the day of their wedding. Angel, well, I have to say that going through their wedding photos, I realized he had his arms around Kay for most of that day. There are literally hundreds of pictures of him holding her, and that warms my heart more than I know how to put into words.
When they picked up their DVDs, I wasn’t around. When I got back, Jeff showed me the enormous tub of coffee flavored Haagen-Dazs ice cream they dropped off and maybe I was just exhausted from my day and emotions were running high from being neck deep in wedding season, but I burst into tears before my perplexed husband. I remembered tweeting back in August about how if I had a cup of this everyday till I’m completely, utterly sick of it, I’d be happy. I tweet a lot. I don’t really think anybody reads any of it, and that’s fine too. It was just so incredibly thoughtful and unexpected. On a side note, when people ask me why I didn’t lose weight during wedding season, I blame our clients. Haha.
Angel and Kay, thank you for everything, from the bottom of our hearts. I told Jeff about your fantastic news, and we’re both so happy for you two!
