You might remember Jong and Janah from their epic engagement shoot. Needless to say, we have much affection for these two. I get attached to most of our brides, it’s unavoidable. I handle the bulk of our email correspondence. Brides and I usually exchange random emails about their wedding from the serious to the downright hilarious, I can’t help but feel an affinity. Janah is no exception. After I took a few shots of Janah waiting for the ceremony to start in the bridal car, I looked at her and was profoundly moved by how happy she was, I almost burst into tears. This is what it’s all about. No stressing out over small details, no fretting, just excitement and pure unadulterated joy.
Jeff and I got to know Jong during our engagement shoot, and he brought even more awesome to their wedding day. We had a couple of hours between their wedding ceremony and the reception. We hung out at their hotel room. They practiced their first dance, and Jong had us, one of their coordinators, and his beloved bride in absolute stitches when he sang and danced to Ring Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. We got real life rickrolled by a groom on his wedding day.
Jong and Janah, it’s been awhile, and we miss you so much it’s ridiculous. We’re blessed to have been a part of your wedding day. You guys are incredibly fun and inspiring to shoot, and always such a treat for us. We’ll see you at Gary and Aileen’s wedding!
