It’s pretty cool how Gary and Aileen came across our work. Gary’s cousin Janah (Hi, Janah!) and their friend Marie (Hi, Marie!) both got us for their November and December 2009 weddings respectively. These three travelled the world together when they were younger, and as it happens, they’re all getting married within months of each other. It’s a running joke between me and Jeff that Gary booked us out of peer pressure. Hahaha. Seriously though, we feel very lucky to be joining all three on their wedding days, and we’re definitely going to keep a spot in our office free for a series of photos of the three couples in all three weddings.
Gary and Aileen were such troopers that day. The weather was less than ideal but that didn’t put a damper on our shoot one bit. The best things you can bring to a shoot are personality and a great disposition, and they had both in spades. We had a lot of fun with this shoot. Pinto Gallery in Antipolo was a breath of fresh air, and seriously, how cute are they together?! He cracks jokes to make her feel at ease in front of the cameras, she laughs and blushes, and it makes me want to scoop her up and put her in my pocket because OMG, cute overload! And I can’t put my finger on what it is exactly but there’s something so beautifully young and innocent about how they are with each other, like it’s the butterflies-in-the-tummy, fall-asleep-with-a-smile-on-your-face kind of love.
