December 2009 Availability

turtles

Totally unrelated photos but I couldn’t help myself. Someday I won’t be able to resist the urge to blog about those turtles. I apologize in advance, and yes, I’m a little nuts that way. Those were taken during Ferdz and Yayie’s engagement shoot.

We’ve been getting more inquiries for December 2009 than any other month. As we all know, it’s the busiest month in the Philippine wedding industry. These are the only dates left in December 2009 that are still available:

December 1-5: 2 slots available Booked!
December 21-23: 1 slot available Booked!
December 26: 1 slot available Booked!

We don’t book more than two weddings in succession as much as possible, hence the limited availability. We want to be able to relish each wedding and still have enough time left to dedicate to our other non-December clients.

The rest of the year is still pretty open particularly July and September. August only has two slots left, same with November. For inquiries on date availability, the best and fastest way to reach us is by text at 0906.4742082. You can also email us at info [at] jeffandlisaphotography.com.

Road Trip to Baguio

We were on the road to Baguio last January 17 for our first destination wedding on the 18th. It was a seven-hour road trip for us. We took a wrong turn before SCTEX, and there was that Talong Festival in Villasis. Lisa and I used to love road trips back in college. We haven’t been on one in a long time. This trip brought back so many memories.

She always prepared the music for our trips. Thankfully, my wife has impeccable taste in music, spare for the occasional 80s song that manages to surreptitiously sneak its way in a playlist or two which she always cheekily denies including. She still sings along with abandon at the top of her lungs whenever we hit the expressway. It was the start of a kickass weekend. I’ve missed driving long distances and on highways. EDSA doesn’t count.

to Baguio

Something tells me we’re going back to Baguio for a vacation before the year is over.

Update: Just blogged about the wedding! Go see some images from Edward and Malou’s Baguio wedding.

Happy New Year!

To kick 2009 off, here are some holiday photos of the little one. He’s having the time of his life.

He’s getting just a teensy bit more treats like small slices of red Washington apples. Those he consume way too fast for anyone to take decent pictures of. He inhales them, not very much unlike a handheld vacuum. At least he still chews his greens.

In other news, there is now a 55kg bale of timothy hay sitting in our spare bedroom. Nobody sells small packs of hay for small animals here anymore, so we had no choice but to get an entire bale, the kind they give horses for lunch. The place smells like freshly cut grass now, which is funny because we live in a building. If you have a rabbit and live nearby, shoot us an e-mail and we’d be more than happy to give you a bag or two.

2008 has brought us many blessings and we are so grateful. From the looks of it though, 2009 might just be even more kickass. Just the thought of the wonderful people we’ll be surrounded with this year… it’s going to be amazing, I just know it. Can’t wait! Wishing everyone much laughter, light, and love for the year ahead!

Acts of Kindness

The Christmas Twig

My dad was a photography enthusiast when I was a kid so I got my first camera when I was seven or eight years old. Didn’t know anything beyond pointing and shooting but I didn’t care, I was shutter-happy. It took a backseat to angst and hormones in high school, and pretty much got neglected until I took photography as an elective in college. It was a rekindling of love, and this time I was adamant in my pursuit. Only problem was I couldn’t really afford a camera of my own.

Our grandfatherly audio-visual head technician in college took pity on me and let me sneak out a camera during weekends, and provided me with a steady supply of cheap black and white film. He gave me a book on photography. He’d let me develop my own film in the darkroom during Mondays when no one else was around. Every now and then, you come across someone who changes your life forever with a few acts (or even just one act) of kindness. I’ve been seriously remiss in not seeing him as often as I should. I’ll be sure to correct that.

In other news, Jeff and I had Erwin and Odeng’s shoot yesterday! Will post pictures soon.
